Issue ID: 125757
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Request for lowercase formating in date
Product: Calc
Version: 4.1.1
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: CONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: formatting
Assignee: [email protected]

Hi,
I recently came across something I haven't noticed before.
I can't format a date in lowercase. First letter is always a capital letter.
Due to recent spelling rules here in Portugal, all week days and month names
must be written in lowercase.
So, as discussed here,
https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=72904
and following the suggestion by RusselB, maybe we could add a formatting option
using, for example, 'mmmm' like we use 'MMMM', but the output would be in
lowercase:
Besides having 'MMMM' -> 'Outubro' we would also have 'mmmm' -> 'outubro'
Regards,
Pedro.
