The Formating of the text written in Writer may include BOLD, color, italic,
and so on. So you don't want to loose all the formatting by using the "Insert
without formatting" option.

What is usually expected by the user is to keep the exact formating, off
course.
This means avoiding to have extra spacing lines after each line or paragraph.

Other software keep the formating without adding extra spacing. Adding extra
unwanted spacing is definitelly not a feature but a bug.
