Dolly <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #3 from Dolly <[email protected]> --- The bug can be reproduced with the following STEPS: 1. Go to Lorem Ipsum and generate a list or select any list you have from another document 2. Copy that list (Select All + CTRL-C) 3. Start OpenOffice Write 4. Click on the Bullets button to start a list 5. Paste the list you copied 6. Select the whole list 7. Go to Format/Paragraphs and select Single RESULT: The space between the first two lines of the list is larger than between the other lines below. But, what is actually happening is that when selecting the first bullet, a specific format is set: Space is added below lines. See screenshot here: http://http://screencast.com/t/Vnmh0nX And then, after pasting another list from another document than OpenOffice, the formatting is reset and different from the first line. -> So the actual bug is that while creating lists with copy+paste, the formatting is not kept for the whole list. IMPACT: This bug is the most visible when the user pastes another list has no formatting whatsoever. If the pasted list uses 1.5 spacing, because the first line has set a specific space under it, the difference between lines will not be that visible. WORKAROUND: To resolve this, the user has to: 1. Go to Format/Paragraphs 2. Remove any spaces between line: before and after 3. Select Single spacing again Result: the spacing should be the same and correct. Here is a video reproducing the issue and the workaround: http://screencast.com/t/wnikRzc0N REFERENCE TOOLS: I also verified other word processing software: * Google Docs - going through the same steps: all the lines of the list will have the same formatting so it’s not confusing for the user. See screenshot here: http://screencast.com/t/nOzjY2TTwGNe * Microsoft Word - going through the same steps: the bullet selected at first goes to the end of the list and remains empty, and the pasted list comes at the beginning of the list with a different formatting but all the lines have the same formatting. See screenshot here: http://screencast.com/t/nOzjY2TTwGNe ENVIRONMENT: I tested on Win 10 Professional and MAC OS X El Capitan; v 10.11.6 * Open Office version 4.1.3 And MAC OS X El Capitan; v 10.11.6 * Open Office version 4.1.1 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.
