Issue ID: 127308
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Numbering format in table of contents cannot be
controlled
Product: Writer
Version: 4.1.3
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows Vista
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 (lowest)
Component: formatting
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
Numbering in table of contents can be unpredictable - possibly due to page
numbering in actual pages.
Problem manifest itself as some TOC entries appearing in Arabic (normal page
numbers) and then at various places (chapters) in Roman numerals. The actual
page numbering in every page is Arabic so that seems fine. However, there seems
to be no way of correcting the format of the TOC entries. Deleting all page
numbers in the footers and reinstating them does not help. Editing the style
of TOC entries doesn't help either. The style of Roman or Arabic numbers seems
to be set elsewhere. Editing page styles, paragraph styles, or wherever else
it's possible to set the numbering format to Arabic doesn't seem to make any
difference. (It's possible I've missed something but I've been searching for
the cause days several days now.)
If this is not perceived as a bug, then I would suggest implementing a way of
overriding the TOC numbering style such that such anomalies can be easily
corrected.
