Issue ID: 127700
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Copy and Paste
Product: Calc
Version: 4.1.3
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 (lowest)
Component: editing
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
It concerns Open Office version 4.1.3
Two Calc documents A and B were openened
I selected two columns with data (not text) by selecting the first cell of the
firtst column and then dragging to the bottom cell of the second column of
document A.
Then Ctl+C
I selected document B.
>From now I was not sure if I had selected only cells or the two columns with
the columnletters on top of the columns of document A.
I selected in document B a column (clicking on the column letter).
Then I did Ctl+V. This caused a crash.
Furthermore some other Calc documents were open in the background.
A report to Microsoft was sent automatically and then all Open Office documents
were closed automatically.
Then I restarted Open Office and a Office window opened saying that all
previous opened documents had to be restored/ Repaired.
The repair of all these documents has failed.
Every time I start Open Office then that window opens with the same info and
every time with the message that the documentsrepair has failed.
Thinking back I am not exactly sure how I have selected the cells in document
A, but 90 % chance that it has happened as described above.
It was of course or probably my stupid action pasting in this way.
Perhaps you may see it as useful information.
Is it possible to design Calc in such a way that before Ctl+V was pressed as
described in the above situation that a warning message is popping up saying
that this action is not allowed here for example.
