There seems to be a huge problem here.  The issue is that the software does not
understand what the printer can do.  Therefore the software, which is designed
to output to the printer, cannot output correctly.

That statement is a simple fact.  No one can get around that nor can anyone say
it is not true and be correct themselves.

At the most basic point, I couldn't care less whether printing is part of the
OS or not.  It simply makes no difference.

I am beginning to believe that the programmers do not see this as a bug, and
that leads me to wonder why anyone would not want to make their word processor
be able to use all the features of their output environment.  That is
mind-boggling.  How can AOO not print full-bleed?
