Most likely this issue is related to network configuration and not to the OpenOffice code. We should still try to investigate it as much as we can, but my bet is that we won't find anything to fix in the OpenOffice code and that any fixes will have to be done on the infrastructure side. For the record, I'm able to reproduce it too, so I can take a look and report back.
