Tracey <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|--- |FIXED Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED --- Comment #4 from Tracey <[email protected]> --- I added: Issue 128001 (This is what I really need/want) Please read the entire post :-) I do agree with your logic [IF] the language option was implemented in the calc [status bar]. To answer your question (assuming that the language option <<<CAN NOT>>> be implimented in calc [status bar]: > When I download Open Office I have to choose a language (I assume the UI > Language). > When installing Open Office I have a choice of any/all/no language > dictionaries to install. > If I choose a select one/few dictionaries, why do I want to have to wade > through all the other languages in order to make language changes to my > documents/spreadsheets? I am totally baffled as to why it was not implemented from the beginning (I assumed there was an problem which is why I created this issue). Maybe it is a programming nightmare to implement or no one ever asked for it!!!??? I am sooo hoping that the Language option/functionality in the writer [status bar] can be implemented in calc [status bar]. Thanks, Tracey I agree all languages should be available, but if the <<<ONLY>> option to add a language to a spread sheet is scrolling through the entire list then this is an inefficient way to do it. Even just using the first letter of a language is tedious. I am going to flag this as resolved. I think this my only option, but it should be [closed by submitter] because the issue is not resolved as of yet. If they reject my [Issue 128001] request then I will re-open this issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.
