The content of the "Author" field is composed of the First and the Last name
(menu 'Tools - Options - OpenOffice - User Data').
If the Last name is empty, AOO adds a space at the end of "Author" field
(see menu 'Insert - Fields - Author').
Added space can also be seen e.g. in the document properties dialog
(the 'General' tab).
