Well, I'm afraid it would require reengineering HDDS-1041 to match what you've 
suggested. Considering the fact that encryption was implemented in 1.1.0, I 
don't think it makes sense (or even feasible) move it to the chunk level.

On the other hand, I can give the compression at chunk level a try, but in this 
case we have no choice but to compress encrypted data
