@prashantpogde and I discussed this offline. We agreed it won't be a problem, based on the use of the candidate dir as the initial empty state. > Just a side note. As I was reviewing this PR, I realized we can have other potential problem areas here. When follower tries to catch up with the leader, it should start with initial state as absolutely empty. That is because, we can not assume that sst files between leader and follower will have the same content.
