## Purpose Java staging downloaded GitHub Actions artifacts into `tools/release`. The source-release script intentionally refuses to overwrite that directory, so following the documented Java-then-source sequence could block source archive creation. ## Relationship This PR is functionally independent, but it should merge after #92 because both PRs update Java staging validation and its focused test. Rebase this PR after #92 lands, then rerun the focused staging test. ## Changes - download Java staging inputs into a unique directory under `TMPDIR`; - remove the temporary download directory on successful and failing exits; - keep `--no-cleanup` limited to generated Java native resources; - preserve the source-release no-overwrite protection. ## Validation - `bash tools/tests/deploy_java_staging_test.sh`: 4 passed - `python -m pytest -q tools/tests`: 149 passed - Bash syntax checks: passed - `git diff --check`: passed -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
