Requirement fit: SUPPORTED. This fixes user-facing guidance for the Python incremental scan: `auto` resolves from `changelog-producer`, and the prior `incremental-between` guidance could lead users to an invalid option. I checked `IncrementalScan::resolve_mode` and the Python binding documentation against the code path; the two branches are described correctly. Verification at 1d042973: all 3 existing `auto` incremental-scan tests passed, `git diff --check` passed, and all 14 CI checks are green.
