### Search before asking - [X] I searched in the [issues](https://github.com/apache/paimon/issues) and found nothing similar. ### Paimon version master ### Compute Engine Flink / Spark ### Minimal reproduce step `SchemaValidation` validates only the base data-file format's type support at CREATE (`fileFormat.validateDataFields` for `file.format`). Changelog files can be written with a different format via `changelog-file.format`, and that format's type limits are never checked at DDL. Create a primary-key table with a changelog producer, `file.format=parquet` (which supports TIMESTAMP(9)), `changelog-file.format=avro`, and a `TIMESTAMP(9)` or `TIME(4+)` column. The CREATE succeeds. ### What doesn't meet your expectations? The unsupported type should be rejected at CREATE. Instead it is accepted, and the first changelog write throws `Avro does not support TIMESTAMP type with precision: 9` from the Avro schema conversion, after the table already exists and may hold data. The base data format and the per-level avro format are already validated at DDL for exactly this reason; the changelog format should be validated the same way. ### Anything else? _No response_ ### Are you willing to submit a PR? - [X] I'm willing to submit a PR! -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
