Persistent `CREATE TABLE ... AS SELECT ...` returned "CREATE TABLE AS SELECT is not yet supported", even though temporary tables already accepted the `AS SELECT` form. Materializing a query into a persistent Paimon table required a manual two-step `CREATE TABLE` + `INSERT`. This infers the table schema from the query's output — reusing `arrow_fields_to_paimon`, the same conversion the persistent `CREATE VIEW` path uses — then applies any `PRIMARY KEY`, `PARTITIONED BY`, and `WITH (...)` options, creates the table, and populates it from the same query. An explicit column list is rejected (the schema comes from the query), and `IF NOT EXISTS` on an existing table is a no-op. Tests: a round-trip that creates a table from a filtered `SELECT` and reads the rows back with the inferred schema, and an `IF NOT EXISTS` test asserting the second CTAS does not append. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
