URL: https://github.com/apache/paimon-rust/pull/1043

   ### Purpose

Auto-discover an optionally packaged OSS C++ bridge in Python, like the
existing PyJindo library discovery. Explicit `fs.oss.cpp.library.path` remains
authoritative.

   ### Changes

   - For `fs.oss.impl=cpp` only, find the platform bridge beside
`pypaimon_oss_cpp/__init__.py` without executing package initialization.
   - Apply discovery to catalog construction/registration, resolved-schema
tables and reused REST responses. Leave Jindo discovery unchanged.
   - Preserve existing backend errors when the package/library is absent or
incompatible; do not select another backend.

This draft defines automatic discovery and the package layout, **not a
published companion wheel**. Bridge/dependency packaging and release remain
separate. No query API, native-enable defaults or performance claims change.

   ### Tests

Unit coverage includes explicit-path precedence (including invalid/empty
paths), missing packages/libraries, non-C++ isolation, platform filenames and
Python importlib discovery.

   - `cargo test --locked --offline -p pypaimon_rust --lib`: **91 passed**,
including 4 new discovery tests and existing PyJindo discovery tests (Python
3.11).
   - `cargo fmt --all -- --check` and `git diff --check`: passed.
   - Discovery tests use fixture library files, not a loaded SDK; no live OSS
or wheel-install validation is claimed.
