### Purpose Execute coalesced range reads directly when the plan contains only one task lane, avoiding thread-pool creation and scheduling overhead. Multi-lane reads retain parallel execution. Reuse the existing read and cleanup path, preserving result order, byte/view outputs and error handling. ### Tests Added single-lane coverage for merged requests, views and read failures.
