JingsongLi opened a new pull request, #1232:
URL: https://github.com/apache/paimon-rust/pull/1232

   ### Purpose

   Make full-text search a built-in capability of `paimon` and
`paimon-datafusion`, so Rust and SQL callers can use full-text and hybrid
search without enabling a Cargo feature. The Python binding already includes
this capability.

   Related to #567.

   ### Brief change log

   - Make `paimon-ftindex-core` a required dependency and remove the `fulltext`
features, conditional compilation, and feature-disabled error paths.
   - Always expose the full-text APIs and register `full_text_search` in
`SQLContext`; run the existing full-text and hybrid tests in regular builds.
   - Update Python dependencies, CI commands, and documentation.
   - Regenerate downstream dependency reports and share Tantivy/Jieba license
corrections across Python and Go release reports.

   ### Tests

   Passed locally:

   - Core unit suite with `--features vortex`: 4,722 passed, 7 ignored.
   - DataFusion full-text SQL: 4 passed; hybrid SQL: 5 passed.
   - DataFusion procedures with `TZ=UTC`: 66 passed.
   - Data-evolution search sidecar regression suite: 2 passed.
   - Release-tool Python tests: 13 passed.
   - Rust 1.98 workspace Clippy with `--all-targets --features vortex -- -D
warnings`, including Python and C bindings.
   - Rust 1.98 formatting check and `cargo check --locked -p paimon
--no-default-features`.
   - Dependency report verification and release-license validation for all 21
generated binary legal files.

Broader DataFusion runs encountered local environment limitations: 7 library
tests failed because the Spark warehouse lacks `partitioned_log_table` /
`multi_partitioned_log_table`, and 2 vector-query tests failed because the
Lumina dynamic library is unavailable.

   ### API and Format

The `fulltext` Cargo feature is removed from both crates without a
compatibility alias. Downstream manifests using `features = ["fulltext"]` must
remove that entry. Full-text APIs are always available, including with
`default-features = false`. Index and storage formats are unchanged.

   ### Documentation

Update SQL registration, full-text and hybrid search examples, and
contributor build/test commands to use the built-in capability.
