The rpc scheduler interface change can be handled by reflection and by avoiding
use of override annotations. However I think the ObserverContext change breaks
in a way that would be more complicated than it needs to be to handle in
reflection. Best to branch IMHO. Let me put up a simple patch that will require
a new branch.
