Christofer Dutz commented on PLC4X-186:
---------------------------------------

Yeah ... ok ... that won't work or would result in unpredictable problems, I
guess :(

I was just thinking that you are just trying to communicate with that one
device. If you're talking to multiple devices in one application, mixing
versions is not advisable.

Well the EIP protocol didn't leave ... we simply haven't implemented that as
generated driver yet. Running manual drivers and generated drivers in the same
PLC4X core was a huge problem due to the pretty extensive refactorings we did.
Also was the EIP driver always just a wrapper around an external driver, which
we are currently removing by implementing EIP from scratch.

So for now I would like to ask you to test he AB-ETH with the right port in
0.7.0 and help us get that on track, use EIP form 0.6.0 in a separate
Application or give us some time till we get to port the EIP (Or even help with
doing that).

Well ... and there's always the option on pushing this up on my priority list
via paid gig ;) Right now my TODO list is sort of lengthy :(
