Review Comment:
   > if we drop a parent snapshot of a tagged snapshot and later make a branch 
from the tagged snapshot (maybe under a different name)
   
   This case might not be possible as we can't create holes from the current 
top to all the snapshots in the ancestory needs to be removed, so if thats the 
case we will never be in this state.
