I think that "disclosure of AI assistance" and “model/tool/session details” are separate things. This PR is trying to standardize the first point and make it clear when significant AI assistance was used and reaffirm that the human author reviewed and owns the diff. I’m hesitant to ask all contributors to provide all model/tool details, because the useful set is hard to define. A meaningful disclosure would not just need the model name, but also the agent specifics, IDE integrations, local rules/instructions, repo level rules/instructions, context specs, context compactions, tools / MCP servers + details, prompts, generated intermediate edits, reasoning modes, external sources, exact versions, timestamps, configuration settings, system specs, and manual changes - for every combination used during the development of a PR. That is not very actionable for review and can become misleadingly precise. I'm fine with softening the text so those details are simply “not required”, while leaving room for maintainers to ask for relevant details when they would actually help review. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
