Bizarre Results Using SqlBrowser

SQL Query browser is producing unexpected results. I tried the following two
queries:
1.) SELECT * FROM zip_codes
2.) SELECT * FROM zip_codes WHERE zip_code = '97068'
Both queries produced an "empty" result set. What is the expected behavior
here?
