Doug Davies commented on SHINDIG-1700:
--------------------------------------
Henry, started looking at this again today. There is a "getElement" function in
site_holder.js. Since gadget_holder is supposedly a subclass of this (pardon
my ignorance on the whole prototype thing), couldn't we use
GadgetSite.getActiveSiteHolder.getElement? Or am I missing something? I
didn't notice this the first time around.
> Add a getCurrentGadgetElement method to GadgetSite in the common container

> Currently there is no way to get the html element that a gadget site
> represents. It's useful to know this for applying styling to the site
> element or possible parent elements (chrome). Please provide a
> getCurrentGadgetElement method to GadgetSite to return the el_ private
> variable.
