I've been working on this for 6-8 months at least (maybe longer, I've lost
track), and it's nearly ready. I've written up a wiki page with an overview of
the major changes & some screenshots:

It's not ready for a PR yet, there's still some more page renames I want to do
before proposing to merge it. Might be a few days or as much as another week
before I put up the PR and get ready for more detailed discussion on the finer
points.
