Notice I created a sub-task https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-16503
specifically for UpdateShardHandler.getDefaultHttpClient so please pursue that
there. But I suggest avoiding that one for now (and anything using it, which
is a ton). It's intentionally configured very carefully/specially.
