Closing this. A framework-level `ObservationHandler` repeats what the `@Observed` span already records (tool name, duration, error), and its line is tied to the parent `secured request` span, because `onStop` runs after the tool span's scope has closed. A log statement inside the tool method runs within that span and can say something the span does not, so the replacement is a single INFO line on `search`'s success path with the collection and hit count. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
