https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-18351 🤖 Modified backport of #4811 (SOLR-18351) to `branch_10x`. The first commit is a straight cherry-pick of #4811. SolrJ clients then write request content only via `RequestWriter.ContentWriter`, not `ContentStream`. The second commit restores the API that #4811 removed, as `@Deprecated`, so 10.x stays back-compatible: - `ContentStreamUpdateRequest` - `SolrRequest` and `WrappedSolrRequest.getContentStreams` - `RequestWriter.getContentStreams` (now non-abstract, returns `null` by default) - `ConfigSetAdminRequest.Upload.setUploadStream` and `setUploadFile` (which still throws `IOException`) - `ClientUtils.toContentStreams` - `HttpSolrClient.isMultipart(Collection<ContentStream>)` Clients adapt content from these deprecated hooks, so existing subclasses and overrides still work. That includes a custom `RequestWriter` that overrides `getContentStreams`. The changelog entry is a deprecation rather than a removal. 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
