Nick Shanin created SOLR-18619:
----------------------------------
Summary: Shift the Admin UI to the X-Solr-targetNode mechanism for
per-node admin calls
Key: SOLR-18619
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-18619
Project: Solr
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Admin UI
Reporter: Nick Shanin
Follow-up to SOLR-18537, which added proxying to a specific SolrCloud node via
the {{X-Solr-targetNode}} header (or GET parameter). The Admin UI still reaches
individual nodes through the older {{node}}/{{nodes}} request parameters on the
proxy-capable admin endpoints.
This ticket covers moving the Admin UI's per-node calls to the header mechanism:
* the metrics resource requests a node's metrics with {{X-Solr-targetNode}} in
place of the {{node}} param;
* the Nodes view fetches system info once per node with the proxy header
instead of a {{nodes}} fan-out;
* the logging page lists live nodes and issues one proxied request per node in
cloud mode, keeping the direct local call in standalone mode.
Deprecating the {{node}}/{{nodes}} parameters themselves is separate follow-up
work and is out of scope here.
