Yeah - the JAR has no impact on Spark execution. It might be good to have the 
source code around in case we need to change it or something like that. However 
I am not sure (a) what is a good place to check in such code (b) what amount of 
build instructions we will need (I think what need is something as simple as 
javac <File.java> && jar cf <File.class>)
