As suggested buy HP in STDCXX-484 we should make use of the
[+hpxstd98|http://docs.hp.com/en/11920/HP%20aC++%20Online%20Programmer's%20Guide/options.htm#opt+hpxstd98]
compiler option to deal with problems such as the one mentioned in STDCXX-276
and in general for better conformance.
As also noted in STDCXX-276 the option is only available starting with 3.74
(where it's in beta and undocumented), and then officially available in 3.80.
