This sounds like a really good idea.
We may need to also consider Windows support. Runc doesn't run on Windows as
far as I know. My impression from a quick google is that
https://github.com/containerd/containerd would delegate to either runc or
https://github.com/Microsoft/hcsshim depending on OS. I'm not sure if we could
be hooking into that instead, rather than manually having to handle being on
Linux or Windows?
