Stig Rohde Døssing commented on STORM-3388:
-------------------------------------------
Ok, makes sense. I would prefer not to drop Windows support though. We can
probably use hcsshim for Windows, it might make sense to look at how containerd
uses runc and hcsshim. Would it be possible to hide Storm's interaction with
runc behind some interface (similar to how cgroups support was added), so we
could keep the no-container solution for Windows and OSX? That way we could
postpone looking at hcsshim without dropping Windows support.
For OSX I don't think there's a good solution currently, as there doesn't seem
to be a runc/hcsshim equivalent. If we can keep the no-container solution
around, that would be good. Otherwise we should at least ask on the mailing
list whether there is consensus for dropping OSX support.
What do you think?
