http://openoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=117369
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Spell checking not working, has regressed
Classification: Application
Product: Word processor
Version: version58
Platform: Macintosh
OS/Version: Mac OS X
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Priority: P2
Component: editing
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
QAContact: [email protected]
After updating to Open Office to 3.3.0, the following functionality stopped
functioning:
* Spell checking. While writing, no words (that are incorrect spelled according
to the current language selection) are underlined as misspelled. If I choose
Tools -> Spelling and Grammar, it says "Continue Spell Checking to the end of
the document?" and subsequently "Spell Checking is complete" without prompting
for the misspelled words.
* No auto completion. It disappeared.
More information:
* This do happen in a newly created document
* I've added words to the dictionary, in various languages
* Spell checking in OS X, such as in this text edit(using Safari), is working.
It would be nice if, after the bug is found, if an automated test was added
that prevents this regression, assuming this bug report is valid.
If I can provide more information, let me know.
Best Regards,
Frans Englich
