        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Open Office writer empties contents of files to 0
                    bytes
    Classification: Application
           Product: Word processor
           Version: OOo 3.3
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Priority: P1
         Component: editing
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
         QAContact: [email protected]

We've started to notice that on several occasions when we come to re-open a
document, both ODT and .doc, that we've been previously editing in Open Office
it has been corrupted to 0 bytes. Sadly we cannot tell you any more. There is
no indication while working on the documents that something has gone wrong.
Maybe it only happens when OOo is closing down. We set OOo up to do automatic
backups of the file but these are also reduced to 0 bytes! There's no crash and
no way of determining when OOo decides that the file is empty or should be
emptied.
