For those rare cases when document recovery somehow manages to open two
versions of the same file, and eventually you close the older version of the
file later, as you were not aware of it.

If a version that you are saving over is new than the version last opened, do
ask "do you want to overwrite the never version?"


It coldheartedly saves over the last previous days of work neatly packed up,
proofchecked and greeting the weekends work with success...

I am a second person I know, to whom it has happened in the last month.

But this bug is really unforeseeable, and for this reason screws up on the most
unexpected moment, while self having been absolutely careful not to risk any
data loss by saving regularly etc.

Alternatively and also, you could/should have backups turned on as default, as
such accidents really happen to people who probably can't find the backup
button before or after the event.
