--- Comment #2 from [email protected] 2011-06-02 03:54:05 --- That information is good to know, but I don't think it will help other people who have the same problem as I, in the future. First of all, when one is looking for the key word "bookmarks" it is not intuitive for him to look first for the word "navigator", if he can so much as remember that the side panel is even called a navigator. Secondly, in my case with the bookmarks, the navigator was already open, so there was no need for me to figure out how to open it. Rather, I needed to know how to reveal the bookmarks that ordinarily appeared at the bottom of the navigator, and so the logical thing to do was to look for the key word "bookmarks" in any of the menu items. Likewise, when one loses his car keys, he does not first intuitively say to himself, "I wonder whether there is a handwritten note from my wife somewhere in the house, explaining that she has found my keys, and telling me where I can find them." Rather, his first reaction is to check the ignition, then, his pockets, and finally, his key rack, perhaps. There may very well be a note from his wife somewhere in the house, but the man would never think to look for one as the very starting point of his search. In fact, just today I discoverd that I can hover the cursor over the bottom edge of the navigator, and thereby reveal a (hidden) handle that will allow me to pull the bookmarks back up into view. All this problem would be solved if an item called "bookmarks" were added to the menu of "view", which would open the navigator and reveal the bookmarks at the same time, or else reveal the bookmarks if the navigator was already open. -- Configure bugmail: http://openoffice.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Bugzilla.
