Sreenath Somarajapuram commented on TEZ-2159:
---------------------------------------------

Even if there is no batching the data can be inconsistent between vertex/task.
- What about between tasks. Assuming a running DAG with thousands of tasks,
wouldn't each batch have data from a different time frame. Wouldn't comparing
them (for instance task counters) give erroneous results?

May be we can convey the same as a confirm dialog message.

>From the perspective of main use case, the patch LGTM. It was tested with
>Ambari views, and works as expected.

> Tez UI: download timeline data for offline use.

> It is useful to have capability to download the timeline data for a dag for
> offline analysis. for ex. TEZ-2076 uses the timeline data to do offline
> analysis of a tez application run.
