Yep. That's precisely it - we can't and should not control the user code
invocation of addRootInputEvent. Way back in the day - this invocation would
lead to a RouteEvent to the vertex - so it was delinked from the
onRootInputInitialized transition. Also, the Vertex itself could handle these
events in multiple states - like it does for DataMovementEvents.
