Patch which makes the changes mentioned above. [~hitesh], [~bikassaha],
[~rajesh.balamohan], [~zjffdu] - please review. I'd ideally like to get this in
before making a release.
This will apply to the merged branch (or TEZ-2003 as it stands today).
