default_parallelism is independent with pig.tez.auto.parallelism /
pig.tez.grace.parallelism. You shall try turn off auto parallelism to see if it
makes difference. Also since union is used in your script, turn off
pig.tez.opt.union is another try. Is it possible to share the explain plan for
that failed vertex even if you cannot share the Pig script?
