Moving to a separate class is fine - bigger question is how to surface this
information to users via docs that they can lookup such info in the UI. The
current approach that [~jeagles] took was a simplified one as the UI already
displays the conf for an app. If we have to make these things more explicity
maybe how we publish and how we display such additional info also would need
changing.
