Hey [~Sreenath], At first, I made the change the same as you have. Then I
realised there were some optimizations that could be made, both in readability
and performance.
I ran the patch 1 through jsperf to get a sense of speed up (roughly 10x, but
might now matter in this case). Click run tests to measure the difference

If you think the improvements are not helpful in this case, we can go with your
version of the fix.
