Work in progress patch. [~bikassaha], can you please take a quick look.
Will try adding some basic sanity unit tests - and possibly rename input/output
to src/dest in the Edge. Other than that this should be close to done.
If specifying a CUSTOM edge, an EdgeManager has to configured. Whether this is
replaced/confiugred differently later or not is up to the user - but the
initial setup is required.
