Hans Zeller commented on TRAFODION-7:
-------------------------------------

When I google this topic I see a lot of different opinions. The HBase source
code doesn't seem to have a .project in git (.project is one of the files
listed in .gitignore).

Having a way to generate Eclipse project files seems like a good compromise to
me, since it would allow different people to customize their projects, without
checking in those personal changes. Changes that should apply to all users can
be made in the project template file I would be adding to the source code.

> Have a .project file to be able to import source code into Eclipse
