The idea of the Training project is to generate material not necessarily for
ASF internal purposes but material related to the ASF and its project that
trainers can use as a basis for developing their courses. There's some more
background on [http://training.apache.org/] under purpose. However you are
right that some of the slides could benefit from a few more comments which
would make the entire deck self contained.
