We have taken that interim decision ( of retaining the older API's too)
sometime back as we there was dependency on the older API's too and cannot be
moved away immediately then. But, now that we are moving forward we can develop
new REST API's or modify recently developed API's as part of
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YUNIKORN-413 if there is a need on UI
side. In short, we can bring in new changes on REST API side to accommodate new
UI layout so that we can move away from older API's completely and eventually
over time.
