I agree, I think that would be a good solution.
* If no queue is selected, focus on queue selection (and potentially open a
dropdown to force user selection? - I will check how this works)
* If a queue is selected, store it locally and apply it application-wide until
the partition is changed - that should remove the selection from session storage
