let's start with clarifying the intentions. you want a truly
hierarchical folder structure with ~/Maildir being INBOX and subfolders
(starting with dots) inside, on both the server and locally?
in this case, MapInbox is definitely not a useful idea.

you can start debugging by running with -DMn.
