> At work we recently migrated from Cyrus IMAP to a MS Exchange server. A while ago I also had to migrate to Exchange (365 online in my case). I encountered many errors while trying to sync. The errors I saw made no sense to me, making it seem that Exchange was failing to parse the messages. I'm just guessing, but that interpretation made me suspect something broken in Exchange's buffering, and led me to try setting PipelineDepth 1 in .mbsyncrc. Luckily for me, that cured all my syncing errors. Maybe worth a try.
I also have an account on a Cyrus server, and there is no comparison between the performance of Cyrus and Exchange: interacting with Exchange reminds me of 14.4 modems.
